OLDEN RTC Rate and Total Counter with Sensor and Post Mount



The Olden Electronic RTC - Rate-Total Counter is a great tool to improve production, throughput, and efficiency on many mailing and bindery machines.

The RTC Counter is a low cost means of providing real-time data (RATE or TOTAL) to machine operators as well as supervisors. Most machines have total counters built into them, but they are hard to find and see without standing over the machine, and seldom offer rate information (average number / hour). You need a counter thats easy to read, cant be missed and gives you instant information you need to determine the days productivity and whether a job will be completed on-time.

The Olden Electronic Rate-Total Counter installs easily on all sorts of equipment using either a magnetic base or a clamp-on stand. The product is counted using a photo-cell provided with a simple magnetic holder which mounts easily on metal fold plates on paper folders or envelope inserters. Olden Counters can be mounted on the following machines (some may require a little modification and/or additional hardware to mount on some equipment)

    Olden Enterprises RTC (Rate & Total Count) and TC (Total Count) Counters are fully electronic with no moving parts. Both feature very large and bright LED displays. The display can easily be read from 15 feet away.
  • The sensor counts using invisible infrared light. Nothing ever touches the piece being counted, which can be up to 2" away. The sensor sensitivity adjusts automatically.
  • RTC & TC counters have an electronic memory that uses advanced electronic circuitry to retain the count. There is no battery that ever needs replacement!
  • The RTC counter display can be switched to display the count rate in pieces per hour. The rate function is displayed until the next push of the count/rate switch.
  • Sensor has a 10' curly cord and mounts with its own magnet. Adapters are provided for non-magnetic surfaces.
  • Counters come with a new generation sensor and standard 6" post mount.
  • Counter body is compact and easy to install without tools.

    The counters are used on folders, stitchers, and other bindery equipment, as well as various inserters, mailing machines, etc. They mount to the machine with one of five available mounts. The half-round at the end of the post slides into a matching hole in the bottom of the counter case. The post mount slides over any vertical edge up to 5/8" thick and is secured by a thumbscrew.

    Optional mounts include a long post mount with an 18" post, and magnetic mounts. Choose a magnetic mount after determining the height of the mounting point for the counter. If the counter is to be mounted on a horizontal surface chest to eye high, we recommend the #1 magnetic mount with the straight post. If mounted lower than that, we recommend the #2 magnetic mount with angled post, to angle the display up towards the operator's eyes. The #3 vertical magnetic mount (not pictured) is the solution if there is no suitable horizontal surface. Counters require 2" of clearance behind case for sensor plug.
